REPORTS & LONG DOCUMENTS
Some of my favorite pieces to design are documents that encapsulate extended projects and research pieces. Since 2021, I have managed the production of AdvanceCT’s annual report, as well as sector snapshots, reports, and directories. I have also had the privilege of teaching our marketing staff how to use InDesign to assist in organizing content and formatting documents.
AdvanceCT Annual Report 2025
The goal of the 2025 annual report was to put forth a sophisticated, buttoned-up look that still encompassed the energy we put into all of our projects. I was excited about our hard hat cover - while most years I designed a collage of photos to show the breadth of our activities, or selected a few key photos to sum up our largest events, I found that the hard hat symbolizes best what this organization strives for: creating jobs and economic growth in the state of Connecticut.
New in comparison to past reports was the FDI section, showcasing our connections with global partners and their operations in our state, as well as a reimagined Metrics section. Leaning into our brand yellow nodded to our role as the “purveyors of positivity” in a state shadowed by outdated datapoints, and the accents of textural squares keep the tone light.
AdvanceCT Annual Report 2024
The 2024 AdvanceCT annual report presented the challenge of celebrating our 5-year anniversary and cumulative growth, while not overshadowing the accomplishments of the year itself. This was achieved through a four-page fold-out, bookended by testimonial quotes from the year, that expanded to show spotlighted projects and milestones from AdvanceCT’s history. Stylistically, I doubled down on organic shapes to help amplify the growth, fluidity, and maturity of our organization at this time.

The 2023 AdvanceCT annual report highlights a year of strategic achievements and significant growth in the organization’s mission to attract and retain businesses for Connecticut. We use metrics, event photos, and project summaries to reflect our staff and our partners’ unwavering dedication to advancing Connecticut's successful business environment.
I'm always grateful for the opportunity to showcase our achievements as made possible by the support of our Team Connecticut partners. The annual report provides the invaluable opportunity to collaborate with the rest of the Marketing team in preparing, creating, editing, and publishing a comprehensive celebration of our events and accomplishments.
Research Risk Report
The state of Connecticut is sometimes referred to as “the land of steady habits” — our team capitalized on this concept to emphasize the security and stability Connecticut offers to bolster business growth. AdvanceCT’s Research team gathered and organized data encompassing sustainability, electricity, internet access, crime rates, healthcare, and even natural disasters, all available in this fully designed report which delivers a synopsis of the reliable and highly productive environment the state offers incoming businesses.
Sector Snapshots
Sector snapshots provide an in-depth look at Connecticut’s key industries by illuminating industry trends, identifying strong subsectors and concentrations of talent, and evidencing the state’s strengths relevant to companies established in and considering Connecticut. These reports are created in partnership with the Research team to bolster marketing materials and talk tracks at conferences.
